Appliance magic

We rarely appreciate our modern appliances until something goes wrong with them! Then all of a sudden it becomes clear to us how easy they make our lives and how much we rely on them. By putting a little magic into our appliances, however, we can acknowledge the assistance they give us and the day-to-day convenience they provide.

To imbue smaller appliances, such a kettles and toasters, with magic, it is enough simply to hold them in your hands and say:

I dedicate this ... (name appliance) as a magical tool.

It is now a tool of the hedge witch.

May it be powerful and reliable.

So mote it be!

You should repeat this ritual at least every three months, on the full moon.

For larger appliances, such as cookers, washing machines, dish washers, microwaves, fridge-freezers, vacuum cleaners and so on, you might like to perform the following ritual. Again, it should be repeated at least every three months, on the full moon.
